Begin your journey by trekking down to Taplejung, which can take several days depending on your trekking speed. Once in Taplejung, you can find local buses or shared jeeps that head to the town of Sukhiapokhari. The fare is generally around NPR 500-700. From Sukhiapokhari, you can catch another bus or jeep to Phaplu, which is approximately NPR 1000-1500.
