Getting There

Walking
Starting from Thamel, head west on Tridevi Marg, towards the intersection at the Tourist Bus Park. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Pradarshani Marg. Turn right onto Pradarshani Marg and walk until you reach the Swayambhu area. From there, follow the signs towards Swayambhunath Stupa. Once at the entrance of Swayambhunath, continue to follow the path upwards. After a short walk, you will arrive at अजिमा पोखरी, which is located along the Swayambhu Parikrama.

If you are near the Kathmandu Durbar Square, start walking towards the west exit. Head towards Indra Chowk and then turn left onto the road leading to Swayambhu. Continue straight until you reach the foot of Swayambhunath Stupa. The path to अजिमा पोखरी will be on your left after you start ascending the stairs to the stupa. Follow the signs that lead you to the pond.

From the Ratna Park area, take a microbus heading to Swayambhu. Get off at the Swayambhu stop. From there, follow the road up towards the Swayambhunath stupa. Once you reach the entrance, you will find signs guiding you towards अजिमा पोखरी. The pond is situated along the Parikrama path, so continue walking straight along the path until you arrive.
