Bus
From Thamel (a popular tourist area), head to the Ratna Park Bus Station. Look for a bus heading towards Bhaktapur. The fare is around NPR 30. Once on the bus, ask the conductor to drop you off at Changunarayan. The journey takes approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. From the bus stop in Changunarayan, it's a short 10-minute walk to Changu Museum. Follow the signs towards Mandir Walkway.
Cycle Rickshaw
If you prefer a more comfortable ride, you can hire a cycle rickshaw from Thamel or any nearby area. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around NPR 300-500 to Changunarayan depending on your starting point. The rickshaw will take you directly to the entrance of the village. From there, it's a brief 5-minute walk to the museum, following the road signs towards Mandir Walkway.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to enjoy the scenery, you can walk from Bhaktapur to Changunarayan. Start at Bhaktapur Durbar Square and follow the main road (approximately 4 km). It will take about 1-1.5 hours on foot. Once you reach Changunarayan, follow the signs to Mandir Walkway, where Changu Museum is located.
