Getting There

Walking
Starting from Thamel, head east on Tridevi Marg towards the Kathmandu Durbar Square. Once you reach the square, take a left onto Bhaktapur Durbar Square Road. Continue on this road until you reach the main highway. At the highway, turn right and walk towards the city center. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Ring Road. From there, continue south for about 3 kilometers until you reach Mahalaxmi. Use landmarks such as the local shops and eateries to guide you along the way.

Public Bus
From Thamel, walk to the nearest bus stop located near the Ratna Park. Board a bus heading towards Bhaktapur or Lalitpur (Patan). Make sure to ask the conductor for Mahalaxmi or Imadol stop. The bus ride will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you get off the bus at Mahalaxmi, walk towards the river and you will find the entrance to Kathmandu Valley nearby.
