Public Bus
From the center of Kathmandu, head to the Ratna Park bus station. Look for buses heading towards Trishuli or Bidur; these buses will take you closer to Nuwakot. The fare is inexpensive, around 200 NPR. The journey will take approximately 2-3 hours. Get off at the Bidur bus stop, which is the nearest point to Nuwakot Durbar Square.

Local Microbus
At Ratna Park, find the microbus stand. Take a microbus that goes to Nuwakot or Bidur; these are smaller than the regular buses and may be more frequent. The fare is usually around 150-200 NPR and the travel time will also be around 2-3 hours. Once you reach Bidur, you can ask locals for directions to Nuwakot Durbar Square, which is about 15-20 minutes on foot.

Walking from Bidur
Once you arrive in Bidur, exit the bus station and head towards Nuwakot Sadak. Follow the road signs that indicate the direction to Nuwakot Durbar Square. It’s about a 1.5 km walk, which should take about 20-30 minutes. Make sure to ask locals for help if you are unsure; they are usually very friendly and helpful.

Bicycle Rental
If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Kathmandu before you set off to Nuwakot. Ride to Ratna Park, take the bus to Bidur, then cycle the remaining 5 km to Nuwakot Durbar Square. This will give you a chance to explore the scenic views along the way.
