Look for signs directing you to Swayambhunath Stupa, which is a well-known landmark. The museum is located on Swayambhu Cir Rd, next to the stupa. Once you see the stupa, follow the road around it, and you will find the museum on your right. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared to pay a small fee (around NPR 100-200) for parking.
Public Transportation
To reach the Natural History Museum using public transportation, take a microbus or local bus heading towards Swayambhu from central Kathmandu. You can board these buses from various points in Thamel or the Ratna Park area. Buses are frequent and cost around NPR 30-50. Ask the conductor to drop you off at Swayambhu.
