Bus
From Thamel, walk to the 'Bus Park' located near Ratna Park. Look for a bus heading to Bhaktapur. The fare is usually around 50 NPR. Inform the conductor that you are going to Taumadhi Square. The bus ride takes about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Bhaktapur, disembark at the Bhaktapur Durbar Square stop. Taumadhi Square is a short 10-minute walk from there.
Microbus
Head to the microbus station near the 'Bus Park' in Ratna Park. Look for a microbus that goes to Bhaktapur. The fare is around 30 NPR. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Bhaktapur, and follow the signs towards Durbar Square. Taumadhi Square will be about a 10-minute walk from there.
Rickshaw
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a rickshaw from your location in Kathmandu. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 800-1000 NPR. Ask the driver to take you directly to Taumadhi Square in Bhaktapur. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.
