Car
If you are driving, start from Kathmandu and take the Prithvi Highway towards Dumre. From Dumre, follow the signs to Besisahar. The drive is approximately 6-7 hours. Once in Besisahar, you will need to hire a 4WD jeep to take you to Dharapani, which is the gateway to the Manaslu Trekking Area. The jeep ride takes around 5-6 hours and costs about NPR 3,000 to NPR 5,000 per person, depending on the season.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Kathmandu, take a tourist bus to Besisahar. Buses leave from various tourist bus parks in Kathmandu and the journey takes around 6-7 hours. The cost is approximately NPR 700-1,200. From Besisahar, you can hire a local jeep or take a local bus to Dharapani. The local jeep ride will take about 5-6 hours and costs around NPR 300-500.

If you are already in the Manaslu Circuit area and wish to trek to the Manaslu Trekking Area, you can start from Dharapani, which is well connected by trekking trails. Follow the signs towards Timang and continue towards Chame. The trek from Dharapani to Chame takes about 4-5 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you have the required permits (Annapurna Conservation Area Permit and Manaslu Restricted Area Permit), which can be obtained from local trekking agencies.
