Getting There

Walking
From the center of Nagarkot, head towards the main road that leads to Bhaktapur. Follow the road as it descends towards the valley. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a junction. Take a left turn onto the road marked for Budhanilkantha. Continue walking straight for about 3 kilometers until you see signs for the Budhanilkantha Temple. The temple will be located on your right, and you will see the iconic statue as you approach.

From Nagarkot, walk to the nearest bus stop located near the main market area. Board a local bus heading to Bhaktapur or Kathmandu. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Budhanilkantha. The bus will take approximately 30-40 minutes to reach Budhanilkantha. Once you arrive, walk towards the Nepal Vipassana Meditation Center Rd, and follow the road for about 500 meters until you reach Budhanilkantha Temple.
