Walking
From your accommodation in Nagarkot, head towards the main road that leads to the village center. Once you reach the main road, turn right and walk towards the bus stop area. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading down to Bhaktapur. Follow the signs for Bhaktapur and continue walking down that road for about 30-40 minutes, enjoying the scenic views along the way. You will eventually reach the bus stop where you can catch a local bus to Kathmandu. Make sure to tell the driver to drop you off at Sorakhutte, Kathmandu.
Local Bus
After reaching the bus stop in Nagarkot, look for a local bus heading to Kathmandu. These buses run frequently, so wait for one to arrive. Once you board, tell the conductor to drop you off at Sorakhutte, Kathmandu. The journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Enjoy the views of the countryside as you travel down the hill to Kathmandu.
Combination of Walking and Bus
From the center of Nagarkot, walk to the main road and head towards the bus stop. After reaching the bus stop, board a bus that goes to Bhaktapur. Once you arrive in Bhaktapur, you will need to transfer to another local bus that goes to Kathmandu. Inform the driver that you need to get off at Sorakhutte. This method will take a bit longer, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, but it offers a chance to see both Nagarkot and parts of Bhaktapur.
