From the center of Nagarkot, start by heading towards the main road that leads downhill. Walk approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the bus stop at the base of Nagarkot. Here, you can catch a local bus heading to Kathmandu. Buses are frequent and will take you to the bus park in Kathmandu.
