Walking
From the center of Nagarkot, head east towards the main road (Nagarkot to Bhaktapur road). Once you reach the main road, turn left and follow the road downhill. Continue walking for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach Bhaktapur. As you approach Bhaktapur, look for signs directing you to the Pottery Square. Upon entering Bhaktapur, you will need to navigate through the city streets. Continue straight until you see the local shops and eateries. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating Pottery Square (कुम्हः त्व), which is situated in the heart of Bhaktapur. The square should be visible as you get closer.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Nagarkot. Start by heading east towards the main road (Nagarkot to Bhaktapur road). Turn left onto the main road and cycle downhill. The ride is approximately 10 kilometers. Be cautious of the traffic as you make your way to Bhaktapur. Once you arrive in Bhaktapur, follow the signs to Pottery Square (कुम्हः त्व). You will need to navigate through the streets, so keep your map handy or use a navigation app to guide you to the square.
Hiking
For an adventurous route, consider hiking from Nagarkot to Bhaktapur. Start your hike by heading towards the trail that leads east out of Nagarkot. Follow the trails and enjoy the scenic views. After approximately 6-8 kilometers of hiking, you will reach the main road. From there, turn left and continue walking downhill towards Bhaktapur. This hike can take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Once you arrive in Bhaktapur, make your way to Pottery Square (कुम्हः त्व) by following the signs or asking locals for directions.
