From your accommodation in Nagarkot, head towards the main road that leads out of the village. Follow the road downhill towards Bhaktapur. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will reach a junction. At the junction, turn right and continue straight for another 15 minutes. You will pass several local shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Kathmandu. After approximately 35 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the bus station in Bhaktapur. From here, you can catch a local bus to Kathmandu, which will take around 1 hour.

Once you reach the bus station in Bhaktapur, look for buses heading to Kathmandu. They frequently depart every 30 minutes. The bus ride will take you through scenic views of the countryside and takes about an hour. Make sure to tell the bus conductor that you want to get off at Freak Street, which is located in the heart of Kathmandu. After arriving in Kathmandu, you can ask locals for directions to Freak Street or use a map on your phone.

When you get off the bus at Kathmandu, you will be near the Ratna Park area. From Ratna Park, walk towards the Thamel area, which is a popular tourist district. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Freak Street. Turn left and walk for about 10 minutes.
