Breathtaking Views at Sarangkot View Tower

Getting There

• Car

  From the Lakeside area of Pokhara, drive on the Prithvi Highway towards the Sarangkot Road. After approximately 5 km, you will see a sign for Sarangkot. Turn left onto the Sarangkot Road and continue driving for about 8 km. The road will wind uphill, offering beautiful views of the valley. As you approach Sarangkot, follow the signs to the View Tower. There is a parking area available near the tower. Note that there may be a small parking fee of around NPR 50-100.

• Public Transportation (Local Bus)

  From Lakeside, walk to the Sarangkot bus stop located on the main street. Look for a local bus heading towards Sarangkot. The bus ride costs around NPR 30 and takes about 30-40 minutes. Inform the conductor that you want to stop at the Sarangkot View Tower. Once you get off the bus, you may need to walk for about 15-20 minutes uphill to reach the View Tower. The path is well-marked, and you will enjoy the scenic views along the way.

• Trekking

  For the more adventurous option, you can trek to Sarangkot from Lakeside. Begin your trek from Lakeside by heading towards the base of Sarangkot. The trek is approximately 4-5 km and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours uphill, depending on your pace. Follow the trail that leads to Sarangkot, and you will find signs directing you to the View Tower. This option is free of charge but requires good walking shoes and a sense of adventure.

• Taxi

  You can hire a taxi from anywhere in Pokhara to take you to Sarangkot View Tower. Negotiate the fare beforehand; it usually costs around NPR 800-1200 for a one-way trip. The taxi will take you directly to the entrance of the View Tower, making it a convenient option if you prefer not to navigate public transport. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
