Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from the Lakeside area of Pokhara. Head northeast on the main road (Siddhartha Highway) towards the Ratnapark area. Continue straight, passing through the busy streets until you see the sign for Unnamed Road (6X97+6P5). Turn onto Unnamed Road and follow it for about 3 kilometers. Parking is available near the hiking starting point.

• Public Transportation (Local Bus)

  To reach Short Hiking via local bus, head to the Lakeside bus station. Look for buses heading towards Khare or Kande, which frequently run along the route. The fare is typically around NPR 30-50. Get off at the stop closest to Unnamed Road, then walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the hiking starting point. Be sure to ask the driver to let you know when to get off, as stops may not always be clearly marked.

• Taxi

  For a more comfortable and direct route, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Pokhara. Negotiate the fare before the trip; it usually costs between NPR 500 and NPR 1500 depending on your starting point. The taxi will take you directly to the hiking area on Unnamed Road, saving you time and hassle.

• Walking (from Lakeside area)

  If you prefer to walk, start from the Lakeside area and head northeast towards the main road. Follow the road signs for about 4 kilometers, which will take you through local neighborhoods and offer a glimpse of daily life in Pokhara. This is a great way to acclimatize before starting your hike, though it may take about an hour depending on your pace.
