Getting There

Walking
Start from the center of Pokhara, near Lakeside. Head northwest along the main street until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Peace Pagoda. Turn left at this intersection and continue walking. You'll pass several shops and cafes. Keep walking for about 20 minutes until you reach the lakefront area. From here, follow the signs towards the Sarangkot viewpoint. After about 1 hour of walking, you'll reach the base of Sarangkot. The path will lead you uphill, where you will eventually see the Kalika Bhagwati Temple on your right side. The hike should take approximately 30-45 minutes.

Trekking
If you prefer a more scenic route, consider trekking from the Lakeside area through the hills. Begin by heading towards the Phewa Lake and take the trail that leads towards the hills. This trek will take around 2-3 hours, depending on your pace and stops along the way. Follow the trail markers towards Sarangkot, which will guide you to Kalika Bhagwati Temple. The trail is well-marked and offers beautiful views of the lake and surrounding hills.

Local Transportation (Rickshaw or Bicycle)
For a quicker option, you can hire a rickshaw or rent a bicycle from Lakeside. Ask the driver or refer to a map to direct you to Sarangkot. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the base of Sarangkot, you will need to walk uphill for about 30-45 minutes to reach Kalika Bhagwati Temple. This option allows you to enjoy the scenic ride while saving your energy for the trek.
