Getting There

    From Lakeside, head east on the main road (Lakeside Road) towards the Tourist Bus Park. Once you reach the park, continue along the road until you see the signs for the World Peace Pagoda. Follow the signs that direct you to the Stupa. This will lead you to the entrance of the trail that ascends to the World Peace Pagoda. The walk from Lakeside to the trailhead is approximately 30-40 minutes.

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Pokhara Airport area, walk towards the main road and then head south towards Lakeside. Once you reach Lakeside, follow the same directions as above for a scenic route to the World Peace Pagoda trailhead. This walk will take approximately 1 hour.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Lakeside. Start from Lakeside and head towards the Tourist Bus Park. After passing the bus park, continue cycling on the main road until you see signs for the World Peace Pagoda. Park your bicycle at the trailhead and begin your hike up to the Pagoda. The cycling will take about 15-20 minutes, but allow extra time for the hike up.

  • Boat

    From Lakeside, you can take a boat across Phewa Lake to the base of the World Peace Pagoda. Hire a boat from one of the lakeside operators. Once you reach the other side of the lake, you will find a trail leading up to the Pagoda. The boat ride takes around 30 minutes. After crossing, the hike up to the Pagoda will take another 30 minutes.
