Public Transportation
From Poon Hill, begin your journey by heading back to the nearest major town, which is Nayapul. You can either walk to Nayapul (approximately a 2-hour trek) or hire a local jeep for a faster option. If walking, follow the trail back through Ghorepani. Once you reach Nayapul, catch a local bus or shared jeep to Jomsom. This bus ride will take about 5-6 hours and costs approximately NPR 800-1000. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as they may vary.

If you prefer a more comfortable option, hire a private vehicle from Nayapul to Jomsom. This option is more expensive, costing around NPR 5000-7000 depending on the vehicle type and negotiations. The drive will take approximately 4-5 hours. Ensure that you have pre-arranged the vehicle as many drivers may not be readily available.

If you are adventurous and prefer trekking, you can take the Annapurna Circuit trail from Ghorepani to Jomsom. This trek will take approximately 3-4 days depending on your pace. Follow the trail from Poon Hill back to Ghorepani, then continue through Tadapani, Ghandruk, and finally to Jomsom. Once you arrive in Jomsom, the Annapurna Conservation Area is easily accessible by local transportation. From Jomsom, you can either take a short trek or hire a local jeep to the entrance of the Annapurna Conservation Area, which is approximately 30 minutes away. Please be aware that you will need to obtain a TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) card and a conservation area permit, which can be purchased at the entrance or at tourism offices in Jomsom.
