The drive from Jiri to Lukla takes about 8-10 hours. If you choose to fly, domestic flights from Kathmandu to Lukla are available, taking about 30 minutes.

    Trek from Lukla to Everest Base Camp

    From Lukla, you will need to trek to Everest Base Camp, which is approximately a 12-day round trip trek. The trekking route generally follows the path through Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and finally to Gorak Shep before reaching Everest Base Camp.
