Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the capital city of Province No. 2, Janakpur, head west on the Mahendra Highway (also known as the East-West Highway). After approximately 65 km, take the exit towards Bhatkhola. Follow the signs to Bhatkhola for about 15 km until you reach the coordinates 4VV5+2H5. The park is situated nearby, and you can find parking in the vicinity.

• Public Transportation

  From Janakpur, you can catch a local bus or microbus heading towards Bhatkhola. The journey will take around 2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. Make sure to inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at Bhatkhola. Once you arrive, it’s about a 1 km walk to the park from the bus stop. Ask locals for directions if needed; they are usually very helpful.

• Taxi

  For a more comfortable journey, you can hire a taxi from Janakpur to Bhatkhola. This option is more expensive, with fares typically ranging from NPR 3000 to NPR 4000, depending on negotiation. The drive will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Bhatkhola, you can ask the driver to take you directly to the park's entrance.

• Motorbike Rental

  If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a motorbike in Janakpur. After renting, follow the same route on the Mahendra Highway towards Bhatkhola. This can be a thrilling way to explore the area and gives you the flexibility to stop along the way. Rental costs can vary, but expect to pay around NPR 1000 to NPR 1500 for a day. Once you reach Bhatkhola, park your bike securely and walk the remaining distance to the park.
