Getting there

Car

From Manang, head south on the main road toward Beshisahar. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the junction towards Khumjung. Take a left turn onto this road and follow the signs towards Tengboche. The journey may take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on road conditions. Keep in mind that you will need to pay a small road toll along the way, which is typically around 100 NPR.

Public Transportation (Bus)

Start from Manang's bus station, where local buses depart for Khumjung. The bus ride will take about 1 to 1.5 hours. Make sure to confirm with the driver that the bus is heading to Khumjung. Once you arrive in Khumjung, you'll need to take a short taxi ride or hike towards Tengboche Monastery, which is about 30 minutes away by foot. The bus fare is approximately 200 NPR.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Manang to take you to Tengboche Monastery. This option is convenient and will get you there in about 1.5 hours. The cost for a taxi can vary, but expect to pay around 3000 NPR for a one-way trip. Be sure to negotiate the fare before setting off.

Hiking
