Breathtaking Views from Jomsom's Majestic View Tower

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Jomsom, head northwest on the main road leading out of town. Follow the signs for Kagbeni and continue along the road for approximately 10 kilometers. As you approach the area of Kagbeni, look for a marked turnoff to the right that leads towards the View Tower. The road will start to ascend; continue driving for about 3 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the base of the View Tower. Parking is usually free, but check for any local regulations.

• Public Transportation

  From Jomsom, you can take a local bus or jeep heading towards Kagbeni. The fare is typically around NPR 200-300 per person, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you reach Kagbeni, you can either hire a local guide or a taxi for a short drive to the View Tower. The taxi fare from Kagbeni to the View Tower is approximately NPR 1500-2000. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand.

• Hiking

  If you prefer to hike, you can start from Jomsom. The hiking trail to the View Tower is well-marked and takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Begin your hike by following the same road towards Kagbeni, but take the trail that branches off to the right just before reaching Kagbeni. The trail will lead you uphill through scenic landscapes. Bring plenty of water and snacks, as there are no facilities along the way.
