Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Amersfoort train station, exit onto Stationsplein and head east towards the city center. Continue walking straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the historic Koppelpoort gate. From there, follow the signs towards the city center. Once you reach the city center, head towards the Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren (Our Lady Tower). Next, follow the signs for 'Westerkerk' and look for directions leading to Amsterdam, as it is located in Amsterdam. Note that you will need to take a train to Amsterdam to reach the Westerkerk.

    At Amersfoort train station, purchase a ticket to Amsterdam Centraal. Trains run frequently, approximately every 15-30 minutes. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and take tram line 13 or 17 towards the West. Get off at the Westermarkt stop. From there, it's a short walk: head southeast on Westermarkt, then turn right onto Prinsengracht. Continue straight until you reach Prinsengracht 279, where the Westerkerk is located.
