Walking
If you are in the heart of Amsterdam, a great starting point is Dam Square. From Dam Square, head south towards Rokin street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with the Muntplein. Turn left onto Amstelstraat and walk until you reach the next intersection. At the intersection, turn right onto Reguliersgracht. Continue walking along Reguliersgracht until it merges into the Leidsegracht. You will know you have arrived when you see the charming canal views and local cafes along the water.

From Amsterdam Central Station, take tram line 2 (the one going towards 'Nieuwmarkt'). Ride for about 5 stops until you reach the 'Leidseplein' stop. Once you get off, walk straight ahead and cross the street. You will find yourself at the beginning of the Leidsegracht. Continue walking along the canal, and you will find various spots to enjoy the picturesque views.

Rent a bike from one of the many bike rental shops in Amsterdam. Start from the Vondelpark, head towards the south exit and make your way to Overtoom.
