Walking
If you're near Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and head towards the front where you will see the IJ River. Walk straight down the Prins Hendrikkade street until you reach the first major intersection. Turn left onto the Damrak, which will take you towards Dam Square. From Dam Square, continue walking straight onto Kalverstraat. After approximately 10 minutes, you will reach the Spui square. Continue straight and take a right onto the Herengracht canal. Follow the canal for about 5 minutes, and you will see the Museum of the Canals at Herengracht 386 on your left.

From Amsterdam Central Station, take tram line 1 or 2 in the direction of 'Leidseplein'. Get off at the 'Spui' stop. Once you exit the tram, walk straight until you reach Herengracht. Turn left on Herengracht and walk for about 5 minutes. The Museum of the Canals will be on your left at Herengracht 386.

Bicycle
If you are renting a bike, start from Amsterdam Central Station and head southwest along the Prins Hendrikkade. After about 300 meters, turn left onto the Damrak. Continue cycling straight through Dam Square, and then take a right onto Kalverstraat. After about 10 minutes, turn right onto the Herengracht. Cycle along the canal for another 5 minutes, and you will find the Museum of the Canals at Herengracht 386 on your left.

From Amsterdam Central Station, take bus line 48 towards 'Haarlemmermeerstation'. Get off at the 'Haarlemmerplein' stop. From there, walk towards the west along Haarlemmerdijk and continue until you reach the Herengracht. Turn left on Herengracht and proceed for about 10 minutes until you arrive at the Museum of the Canals at Herengracht 386.
