  • Train

    From Amsterdam Central Station, purchase a train ticket to Zaandam. Trains to Zaandam run frequently, about every 10-15 minutes. Board the train heading to Zaandam and enjoy the short 12-minute journey. Once you arrive at Zaandam station, exit the station and head towards the main square. Stadhuisplein is about a 10-minute walk straight ahead. You will see a large square area with the town hall and green spaces.

    From Amsterdam Central Station, you can take bus line 391 towards Zaandam. Check the schedule for the next bus times. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Zaandam bus station, exit the bus and walk towards Stadhuisplein, which is about a 5-minute walk. Follow the signs towards the town hall, and you will find Stadhuisplein right in front of you.

  • Bike

    If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike rental shops in Amsterdam. From the city center, head northwest towards the IJ River. Follow the signs for the cycle path to Zaandam. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. As you arrive in Zaandam, follow the signs to Stadhuisplein, which is located in the town center. The square is a prominent landmark, so you should be able to find it easily.

    From Amsterdam Central Station, take tram line 26 towards Nord and get off at the final stop, which is the North-South Line. From there, transfer to the train towards Zaandam.
