Walking
From the center of Museumplein, head towards the large, iconic I Amsterdam letters. Once you are facing the letters, turn left and walk along the pathway. Continue straight for about 5 minutes, and you will see the grand facade of the Rijksmuseum directly in front of you at Museumstraat 1.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, exit Museumplein and follow the bike lanes towards the main road. Turn right onto Van Baerlestraat, and then take another right at the intersection onto Museumstraat. The Rijksmuseum will be on your left side after approximately 800 meters.
Public Transport (Tram)
If you prefer public transport, locate the nearest tram stop, which should be close to Museumplein. You can take Tram 2 or Tram 12 towards the direction of the Rijksmuseum. The tram ride will take about 5 minutes, and you should get off at the stop called 'Rijksmuseum'. The museum will be directly across the street from the tram stop.
