If you are in the Museumplein area, the Rijksmuseum is just a short walk away. From the main entrance of the Museumplein, head east towards the large building with the iconic I Amsterdam sign. Continue walking straight and you will see the Rijksmuseum on your left. The address is Museumstraat 1, 1071 XX Amsterdam. It should take you about 5-10 minutes to reach the museum on foot.

Bicycles are a popular mode of transport in Amsterdam. If you have rented a bike, exit Museumplein and head east towards the Rijksmuseum. There are bike lanes throughout the area. Simply follow the bike lanes along the Museumstraat and you will reach the museum within 5 minutes. Remember to lock your bike at the designated bike parking areas near the museum.

If you prefer to take public transport, you can use the tram system. The nearest tram stop to the Rijksmuseum is 'Museumplein'. From anywhere in Museumplein, simply walk to the tram stop and take tram line 2 or 12 towards the 'Zuid' direction. Get off at the next stop, 'Rijksmuseum', which is just a 1-minute ride. The tram ticket costs about €3.20 and can be purchased at ticket machines at the tram stop.
