Walking
From the main train station in Haarlem, head southeast on the Stationsplein towards the Damstraat. Continue straight until you reach the Zijlweg. Turn left onto Zijlweg and walk until you reach the Zijlbrug bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto the Zijlweg. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the junction with the A9 motorway. Here, take the bus to Alkmaar. Once you arrive at Alkmaar station, exit the station and walk towards the city center. Head north on the Stationsweg until you reach the Langestraat. Turn left and walk straight until you reach the Lindegracht. The Old Alkmaar cheese shop will be located on your right at Lindegracht 69.

From Haarlem, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located near the train station. Take bus number 400 or 404 towards Alkmaar. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Alkmaar, get off at the 'Alkmaar, Station' stop. From there, walk towards the city center by heading north on the Stationsweg. Continue straight until you reach the Langestraat. Turn left onto Langestraat and walk until you reach the Lindegracht. The Old Alkmaar cheese shop will be at Lindegracht 69 on your right.
