From the Maastricht city center, walk to the 'Maastricht, Markt' bus stop. Take bus line 50 towards Aachen. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Aachen, Elisenbrunnen' stop, which is directly in front of Elisenbrunnen. The fountain is within a short walking distance from the bus stop.

Make your way to Maastricht train station (Maastricht Centraal). Purchase a ticket to Aachen. Trains to Aachen run frequently, and the trip takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Aachen Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and head towards the bus stop outside the station. Take bus line 3 or 33 to 'Aachen, Elisenbrunnen' stop. Elisenbrunnen will be right in front of you once you get off.
