From the center of Maastricht, head towards the main train station, Maastricht Station. Once you reach the station, take the train towards Hasselt. The journey takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at Hasselt Station, exit the station and turn right onto Spoorwegstraat. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Kuringerstraat, then turn left. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Vissersstraat, then turn right. Continue walking until you reach the Monument Koning Léopold II located at 3500 Hasselt.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Maastricht. Start at the Vrijthof square and head northeast towards the river Maas. Follow the river until you reach the bike path heading north. Continue along the bike path until you reach the bridge leading to Belgium. Cross the bridge and follow the bike signs towards Hasselt. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once in Hasselt, navigate towards the city center, and the monument will be located at 3500 Hasselt.

Upon arrival at Hasselt Station, take bus number 1 towards Kiewit. Get off at the 'Koning Boudewijnlaan' stop, then walk straight for about 5 minutes.
