Walking
If you are in the city center of Nijmegen, head east towards the Waal River. Start from the Grote Markt and walk along the Burchtstraat until you reach the Waalkade, the riverside promenade. Turn left and continue walking along the promenade, enjoying the view of the river. After about 15 minutes, you will see the Waalbrug (Waal Bridge) ahead. It is a prominent structure, so you can't miss it. The bridge is a popular spot for pictures and has a lovely view of the city.

From Nijmegen Central Station, take bus line 3 or 5 towards 'Oostvaardersdijk'. Get off at the 'Burgemeester Dalestraat' stop. From there, walk straight down the street until you reach the river. Turn left towards the Waalkade, and you will see the Waalbrug directly ahead. The entire journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on the bus schedule.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can easily reach the Waalbrug from various parts of Nijmegen. Start from the city center and head towards the Waalkade. Follow the bike paths along the river, which are well-marked. The ride should take about 10 minutes. There are bike racks available near the bridge where you can securely park your bicycle.
