Start by driving from Zaanse Schans towards the A8 motorway. Follow signs for Amsterdam and merge onto A8. Continue on A8 for about 14 km until you reach the S116 exit towards Amsterdam-Centrum. Follow the S116 which becomes the S100, and then follow the signs for the city center. Once you reach Amsterdam, look for parking options nearby, as street parking can be limited. A recommended parking garage is 'Q-Park Amsterdam Centrum' located at 'Oudezijds Voorburgwal 36'. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Oude Kerk at Oudekerksplein 23.

From Zaanse Schans, make your way to the Zaandijk Zaanse Schans train station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the attractions. Take a train from Zaandijk Zaanse Schans to Amsterdam Central Station, which takes around 17 minutes. From Amsterdam Central Station, exit the station and walk towards the Damrak. Head southwest on the Damrak and continue straight until you reach the Oudekerksplein, where Oude Kerk is located at number 23. The total travel time including walking is approximately 30-40 minutes.

From Zaanse Schans, walk to the nearest bus stop and take bus line 391 towards Amsterdam. Get off at the 'Amsterdam, Centraal Station' stop. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Oude Kerk. Walk southwest on the Damrak and continue straight until you reach the Oudekerksplein, where Oude Kerk is located at number 23. The total journey will take about 40-50 minutes depending on bus schedules.
