If you are traveling by car from Zaanstreek, take the A8 highway towards Amsterdam. Merge onto the A10 ring road and follow the signs for S116 towards the city center. Exit at S100 and follow the signs for Amsterdam-Centrum. Once in the city center, follow Mr. Visserplein. There are parking garages nearby, such as 'Parking Centrum' or 'Q-Park Amsterdam', where you can park your car (parking fees apply). The Portuguese Synagogue is located at Mr. Visserplein 3, 1011 RD Amsterdam.

Public Transportation
To reach the Portuguese Synagogue using public transport, start by taking a train from Zaanstreek to Amsterdam Central Station. From there, you can take tram line 14 or bus 48. Get off at the 'Waterlooplein' stop. From Waterlooplein, it's a short 10-minute walk to the synagogue. Head southwest on Waterlooplein, turn right onto Nieuwe Amstelstraat, and continue until you reach Mr. Visserplein, where the synagogue is located. Check for any required tickets for train and tram/bus travel; you can purchase these at the train station or via the GVB app.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike in Zaanstreek and follow the dedicated cycle paths towards Amsterdam. The ride is approximately 30-40 minutes. Head towards the A8 and follow the bike paths to Amsterdam. Once you reach the city, navigate towards Mr. Visserplein. Amsterdam is very bike-friendly, and you can park your bike at designated bike racks near the synagogue.
