Public Bus
From downtown Carson City, head to the nearest bus stop on Carson Street. Take the Douglas County Route 21 bus towards Stateline. This bus will take you to the South Lake Tahoe area. Once you reach the Stateline stop, transfer to the Blue Go Bus Line. Stay on the Blue Go Bus until you reach the Tahoe City stop. The Tahoe City Kayak and Paddleboard Shop is located right on North Lake Boulevard, just a short walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local shop in Carson City. Start by heading north on Carson Street until you reach Highway 50. Follow Highway 50 west towards Lake Tahoe. The ride will take you through beautiful scenery. Once you reach Tahoe City, look for North Lake Boulevard; the Tahoe City Kayak and Paddleboard Shop is located at 521 N Lake Blvd. It is recommended to wear a helmet and follow all bike safety rules.

Walking from downtown Carson City to Tahoe City is quite a trek, but if you’re feeling adventurous, start at the Nevada State Capitol building and head north on Carson Street. Continue walking until you reach Highway 50, then follow the highway west towards Lake Tahoe. Be prepared for a long walk, approximately 30 miles, and ensure you have plenty of water and snacks. Once you arrive in Tahoe City, locate North Lake Boulevard and walk towards 521 N Lake Blvd, where the Tahoe City Kayak and Paddleboard Shop is located.
