Getting There

Walking
From the center of Carson City, head north on N Carson St toward W Spear St. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with US-395 N. Turn right onto US-395 N and walk for approximately 2 miles. Once you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto the NV-28 N ramp. Continue on NV-28 N for about 15 miles, enjoying the scenic views. As you approach Tahoe City, make sure to keep an eye out for signs indicating the town center. When you arrive in Tahoe City, turn left onto N Lake Blvd. The North Lake Tahoe Visitor Center will be on your left at 100 N Lake Blvd.

Public Transit
Start at the Carson City bus station located at 400 E William St. Board the Route 19 bus heading north towards Reno. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at the intersection of US-395 N and NV-28 N. From there, transfer to the Route 21 bus toward Tahoe City. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Tahoe City, disembark at the stop closest to N Lake Blvd. Walk a short distance south on N Lake Blvd, and the North Lake Tahoe Visitor Center will be located at 100 N Lake Blvd.
