Getting There

• Car

  If you are already in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, you can access the Scenic Drive by following the signs leading to the Scenic Loop Dr. From the entrance on NV-159 (Blue Diamond Highway), turn onto Scenic Loop Dr. The drive is approximately 13 miles long and features multiple scenic viewpoints and trailheads. Be sure to check for any entry fees, which are typically around $15 per vehicle.

• Public Transportation

  While there is no direct public transportation to Red Rock Canyon, you can take a bus from Las Vegas. Board the RTC Bus Route 202 from the Strip or Downtown Las Vegas to the Charleston/Las Vegas Blvd transfer station. From there, transfer to a taxi or rideshare service to reach the entrance of Red Rock Canyon. The total travel time may vary, but expect around 1-1.5 hours, including transfer times. Rideshare costs can range from $20-$40 depending on demand.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer an adventurous approach, consider biking to Red Rock Canyon. The area has designated bike paths. From Las Vegas, follow the road signs to enter the Red Rock Canyon area via NV-159. Be aware that the Scenic Drive is open to vehicles, and cyclists must be cautious of traffic. Ensure you have a map and sufficient water, as the ride can be challenging, especially in warm weather.

• Hiking

  For the more adventurous, if you are already within the park, you can hike to various scenic points along the trails that connect to the Scenic Drive. Popular trails include the Calico Hills and Turtlehead Peak trails. Be prepared with a detailed park map and ensure you have appropriate hiking gear, as some trails can be strenuous and may take several hours to complete.
