Car
From the center of Koumac, head southwest on Avenue de la République toward Rue de la Liberté. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route du Sud. Turn left onto Route du Sud (D6) and follow the road for approximately 4 km. Look for signs indicating the entrance to Koumac Grotto on your right. There is no entrance fee, and parking is available near the grotto.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transport, you can take a local bus from Koumac's main bus station. Check the local schedule for buses heading toward Koumac Grotto or the nearby area. Once you disembark, walk along Route du Sud for about 1 km until you reach the grotto entrance. Be sure to confirm the bus timings as they may vary, and there may be a small fare for the bus ride.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, you can start from the center of Koumac and proceed down Avenue de la République, turning onto Route du Sud. It's a scenic walk of about 4 km to the grotto. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially if the weather is warm.
