Car
If you are driving from the main town of Maré, head southeast on Route de la Côte, following signs towards Joking. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at a junction. Take a right turn onto Chemin de Jokin and continue for another 15 minutes. Jokin Cliffs will be on your left. There is no entrance fee, but keep in mind that parking is limited, so arrive early if possible.
Public Transportation
To reach Jokin Cliffs using public transportation, take a local bus from the main bus station in Maré towards Joking. The journey typically takes about 45 minutes. Be sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the closest stop to Jokin Cliffs. From there, you may need to walk approximately 10-15 minutes on foot to reach the cliffs. The bus fare is usually around 300 XPF (Pacific Francs), so be prepared with cash.
Walking
If you are staying in Joking or nearby, walking to Jokin Cliffs can be a scenic option. From the center of Joking, head southwest on Rue de Joking for about 1 km, then turn left onto Chemin de Jokin and continue walking for another 1.5 km. The cliffs will be visible as you approach. This walk offers beautiful views and should take around 30-40 minutes.
