From Poum, head south on Route de Poum (D6) towards Poindimie. Continue for approximately 40 kilometers. Once you reach Poindimie, follow the signs directing you to Îlot Tibarama. You will need to park your car at the designated parking area near the beach, as car access to the island itself is not available.
Boat
After parking your car at the beach area in Poindimie, you will need to hire a local boat service to take you to Îlot Tibarama. Look for boat operators near the beach who offer trips to the island. The cost for a round trip typically ranges from 2000 to 4000 XPF per person, depending on the operator and time of day. Make sure to confirm the return schedule with the boat operator.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take a bus from Poum to Poindimie. Check the local bus schedules, as they may not run frequently. Once in Poindimie, you will still need to arrange for a boat to Îlot Tibarama as described above.
