If you're driving within Franconia Notch State Park, head towards the Franconia Notch Parkway (I-93). If you are coming from the south, take exit 34B to merge onto I-93 N. Follow the signs for Franconia Notch State Park. Once you enter the park, look for the signs directing you to the Lonesome Lake Trailhead. You can park at the Lafayette Place Campground parking area. Note that there may be a parking fee, so be prepared for that.

From the Lafayette Place Campground parking area, follow the Lonesome Lake Trail. This is a well-marked trail that is approximately 1.5 miles long and leads directly to the AMC Lonesome Lake Hut.
