From the main entrance of Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, head east on Pleasant Plains Rd toward the intersection with Route 202. Turn left onto Route 202 North and continue for approximately 5 miles. Take the exit for Lord Stirling Rd, then turn left onto Lord Stirling Rd. Continue for about 1 mile and the Environmental Education Center will be on your right. There is no entrance fee for the center, but ensure that your vehicle is parked in designated areas.

Get off at the Basking Ridge train station and transfer to the Somerset County Bus #2. The bus will take you closer to Lord Stirling Rd.
