Car
If you're traveling by car, the Environmental Education Center is located at 190 Lord Stirling Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920. From the main entrance of Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, head east on Pleasant Plains Rd toward the intersection with Route 202. Turn left onto Route 202 North and continue for approximately 5 miles. Take the exit for Lord Stirling Rd, then turn left onto Lord Stirling Rd. Continue for about 1 mile and the Environmental Education Center will be on your right. There is no entrance fee for the center, but ensure that your vehicle is parked in designated areas.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take NJ Transit bus line #114 from Morristown or other nearby locations to Basking Ridge. Get off at the Basking Ridge train station and transfer to the Somerset County Bus #2. The bus will take you closer to Lord Stirling Rd. Disembark at the nearest stop and walk about 0.5 miles southwest on Lord Stirling Rd to reach the Environmental Education Center. Note that public transportation schedules may vary, so check the NJ Transit website for the latest timings. There is a fare for the bus which is typically around $1.50.

If you're an avid cyclist, biking to the Environmental Education Center is a great option. From Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, you can use the trails to reach Lord Stirling Rd. Follow the trails to the nearby residential areas and navigate onto Lord Stirling Rd. The center is approximately 3 miles from the refuge, and the route is relatively flat, making it suitable for all skill levels. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow all traffic regulations. There are bike racks available at the center for secure parking.
