    From any location within Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, head towards the nearest main road. If you are near the Great Swamp Visitor Center, exit onto Long Hill Road (CR-512) and head northwest. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Hardscrabble Road. Turn right onto Hardscrabble Road and follow it for about 3 miles. The New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary will be on your left at 11 Hardscrabble Rd, Bernardsville, NJ 07924. Look for the sanctuary’s sign at the entrance. There is no fee for parking.

From the train station, you can either take a taxi or rideshare service to reach the sanctuary, which is approximately 3 miles away.
