If you are traveling by car, start from the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge's visitor center. Head south on Pleasant Plains Rd toward Long Hill Rd, then turn right onto Long Hill Rd. Continue for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with NJ-24 E. Merge onto NJ-24 E and follow signs for New Providence. After approximately 3 miles, take exit 5B for Springfield Avenue. Continue on Springfield Avenue for about 1 mile, and the Saltbox Museum will be on your right at 1350 Springfield Ave, New Providence, NJ 07974. There is free parking available on-site.
