Getting There

    From Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, head northeast on Long Hill Road (County Route 512). Continue for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 22. Turn right onto Route 22 East and follow it for approximately 5 miles. Take the exit towards Route 78 West and merge onto I-78 W. Continue on I-78 W for about 2 miles, then take exit 41A for Route 287 North toward Morristown. Follow Route 287 North for about 5 miles, then take exit 14 for Route 22 East toward Bridgewater. Merge onto Route 22 and continue for about 2 miles. Turn right onto Historic Trail. Watchung Reservation will be on your left. The drive takes approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.

    From Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, you will need to first take a taxi or rideshare service to the nearest train station, which is the Basking Ridge train station (approximately 6 miles away). From Bridgewater, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to Watchung Reservation, which is about a 10-minute drive.
