Getting There

  • Public Transit - PATH Train

    From Jersey City, head to the PATH train station at Exchange Place. Take the PATH train towards World Trade Center. Once you arrive at the World Trade Center station, transfer to the subway by following the signs to the E train. Board the E train heading towards Jamaica Center - Parsons/Archer and get off at 42nd St - Port Authority Bus Terminal. From there, transfer to the 7 train heading towards Flushing - Main St and get off at Times Sq - 42nd St. Finally, exit the station and walk to Bryant Park, where you can catch a bus or the subway to Central Park. Sheep Meadow is located in the southwest corner of Central Park.

  • Public Transit - NJ Transit Bus

    Find a NJ Transit bus stop near your location in Jersey City. Look for the bus number that goes to Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City. Once on the bus, ride it until you reach the terminal. After arriving at Port Authority, follow the signs to 42nd Street and walk toward 8th Avenue. From there, you can either walk or take a subway (N, Q, R, W lines) to 59th St - Columbus Circle. Walk across Central Park to reach Sheep Meadow.

  • Ferry

    Head to the Liberty State Park Ferry Terminal in Jersey City. Purchase a ticket for the ferry heading to Battery Park in Manhattan. Enjoy the scenic ride across the Hudson River. Once you arrive at Battery Park, walk north towards Wall Street, then take the subway (4 or 5 train) from Bowling Green to Grand Central. From Grand Central, transfer to the S train and get off at 59th St - Columbus Circle. Walk across Central Park to reach Sheep Meadow.

    If you're up for a walk and the weather is nice, you can walk to the PATH train station at Newport. Take the PATH train to 33rd Street. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk to 6th Avenue. Head north to Central Park. Sheep Meadow is located in the southwest corner of Central Park, and you can enter through the 59th Street entrance.
