From any location in Jersey City, make your way to the nearest PATH station. If you're in downtown Jersey City, the Exchange Place PATH station is a good option. Take the PATH train toward World Trade Center. Once you arrive at the World Trade Center station, transfer to the E subway line toward Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer. Get off at 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal. From there, walk to 8th Avenue and catch the M42 bus heading east toward 5th Avenue. Get off at 5th Avenue and 63rd Street, and walk north for about 5 minutes to reach Central Park Zoo.

Ferry
Head to the Liberty State Park Ferry Terminal. You can take the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail to the Liberty State Park station. From there, board the ferry to Manhattan. Once you arrive at the Battery Park City terminal, walk to the subway station at Battery Park. Take the 4 or 5 train north to 42nd Street-Bryant Park, then transfer to the B or D train toward 59th Street-Columbus Circle. Get off at 59th Street-Columbus Circle and walk east along Central Park South to reach Central Park Zoo.

Find a NJ Transit bus stop nearby and take the bus toward New York City. Make sure to board a bus that stops at Port Authority Bus Terminal. Once you arrive at the terminal, exit and walk to 8th Avenue. From there, board the M42 bus heading east toward 5th Avenue.
