PATH Train
From any location in Jersey City, make your way to the nearest PATH train station. The Journal Square PATH station is a central hub, but you can also use the Newport or Exchange Place stations. Purchase a ticket to the 33rd Street station in Manhattan. Board the train and stay on for about 25 minutes. Once you arrive at the 33rd Street station, exit and walk east on 33rd Street towards 7th Avenue. Turn left onto 7th Avenue and walk about five blocks until you reach Madison Square Garden, which will be on your right at 4 Pennsylvania Plaza.

If you're near the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, take it to the Exchange Place station. From there, transfer to the PATH train heading to 33rd Street. Once you arrive at the 33rd Street station in Manhattan, exit and walk east on 33rd Street towards 7th Avenue. Turn left onto 7th Avenue and walk about five blocks until you reach Madison Square Garden, located at 4 Pennsylvania Plaza.

Find a NJ Transit bus that goes to New York City. Bus routes like the 119 or 120 run frequently from various parts of Jersey City. Purchase your ticket on the bus (make sure to have exact change). The bus will take you to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Once you arrive, exit the terminal and walk east on 42nd Street towards 8th Avenue. Turn left onto 8th Avenue and walk about two blocks until you reach Madison Square Garden at 4 Pennsylvania Plaza.
