Getting There

  • PATH TRAIN

    From Jersey City, head to the PATH train station nearest to you. If you're in downtown Jersey City, the Exchange Place station is a good choice. Purchase a ticket to 'World Trade Center' station. Board a train heading to 'World Trade Center.' The ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Once you arrive at World Trade Center, exit the station and head to the Oculus, which is a large shopping and transit hub. From the Oculus, you can walk to the nearby Brookfield Place and continue toward the Hudson River waterfront. Follow the signs to the ferry terminal and catch a ferry to Manhattan. After disembarking, you can walk or take a subway to reach the Meatpacking District.

    If you prefer taking a ferry, head to the Liberty State Park Ferry Terminal. You can take the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail to the Liberty State Park station. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the ferry terminal where you can catch a ferry to Manhattan. The ferry ride will give you a scenic view of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline. Once you arrive in Manhattan, you can either walk or take a short taxi or rideshare to reach the Meatpacking District.

  • BUS

    Take the NJ Transit bus from Jersey City to New York City. You can catch the bus at the Journal Square Transportation Center. Look for the bus number 126 or similar that goes toward the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan. The journey will take around 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Port Authority, you can either walk or take a subway to reach the Meatpacking District. The closest subway station is 42nd Street and 8th Avenue; from there, take the A, C, or E train downtown to 14th Street, and walk to the Meatpacking District.
