To reach Wharton State Forest by car from the Jersey Shore, start by getting onto the Garden State Parkway. Depending on your starting location, you may have to navigate local roads to find the nearest entrance to the Parkway. Head north and take exit 50 toward NJ-54 S/Atlantic City. Merge onto NJ-54 S and continue for approximately 7 miles. Turn left onto US-206 S and follow the signs for Hammonton. Once you reach Hammonton, turn left onto Batsto Rd. Wharton State Forest will be located at 31 Batsto Rd, Hammonton, NJ 08037. Parking is available on-site, and there is no fee to enter the park.
